11th October - BOLTON RAMBLERS 50th ANNIVERSARY EVENT

On Thursday, October 11th, 2018, there will be an evening 'Social' as part of the celebrations of 50 years of Bolton Ramblers. This will be held at Silverwell Hall (the old Masonic Hall), diagonally opposite the Friends' Meeting House, on Silverwell Street, Bolton. A supper will be provided and the group, the Travellin' Strings, will add to the entertainment and have promised to do a rendering of the 'Manchester Rambler'.

If anyone is in contact with former Ramblers who might like to come along and meet old friends and acquaintances, please make them aware of the event. There is disabled access to the Hall. We will also be asking people to dig out their photos/videos of rambles both past and present which they would be willing to share with others.

21st November - BOLTON GROUP ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The AGM will be held on Wednesday 21st Novembver 2018 at 7.30 pm, at the Friends Meeting House, Silverwell Street, Bolton. The guest speaker is Elaine Taylor who will give a talk on the Historic Gardens of the North-West.

23rd Novmber - H.F./RAMBLERS CEILIDH

The ceilidh this year will be on the evening of Friday, November 23rd. It is normally on a Thursday but please note it is on a Friday this year. More details will follow and tickets will be on sale on the coaches and from Dave Clift.

24th November - BOLTON HOSPICE

Saturday, 24th November. Bolton Hospice are staging a sponsored Hike the Pike event from Curleys Dining Room to Rivington Pike and back. All participants will wear Santa suits and children will be in Elf suits! There will be 2 waves of walkers, with 250 participants in each, one leaving at 10am and the other at 2pm.
The Hospice have contacted us, asking whether any of our members would be willing to act as guides and marshalls during this event. If you are able to help, please contact Maria on 01204 663071.
