WEEKLY THURSDAY WALKS from Horwich Leisure Centre

Every week there is a brisk walk of 4/5 miles starting and finishing at Horwich Leisure Centre. The walks start at 10.30 am and aim to finish around 12.30 pm. There is a large variety of walks available from Horwich, sometimes we climb up to Rivington Pike, Two Lads or the Pigeon Tower. We may explore Lower Rivington Rservoir, the Japanese Gardens, Wilderswood , the Ravine, Bottom o'th Moor or walk to Blackrod.

3rd THURSDAY of the Month Walks

On the third Thursday of the month we venture a little further from our usual starting point of Horwich Leisure Centre and may start the walk from Rivington Village, Doffocker, Aspull, Blackrod or Anglezarke. This is again a brisk walk of 4/5 miles but due to additional travelling time these walks usually finish around 12.45 pm. The starting points of these walks are detailed on the Ramblers Walksfinder website page (see below link) a week before the walk. One of the walk leaders will be at Horwich Leisure Centre (leaving at 10.30 pm prompt) to give a lift to those without transport.
